The Power of Hair
January 31, 2021

The hair on your head is there to do more than just look good.

The Native Americans for example, believe that through their hair they can connect to nature and the life force around them. It was proven during the Vietnam war that Native Americans with longer hair were able to scout the land better than those in similar tribes who had their hair cut.

Your Hair is a natural extension of your nervous system

Because your hair is a natural extension of your nervous system and when left uncut, forms little antennas at the ends that gather and channel greater quantities of subtle, cosmic energy that balances the entire electromagnetic field of your body, increasing your life force, vitality and intuition.

It takes approximately three years from the last time your hair was cut for new antennas to form at the tips of the hair.

According to Vedic literature, through the antennae of our hair, we absorb solar energy during the day and lunar energy at night. Facial hair on men protects them from becoming imbalanced through excessive moon energy by covering the moon centre on the chin, whilst the hair of the legs regulates the glandular system and stabilises a person’s electromagnetic field.

If you are bald or balding, the lack of hair energy can be counteracted with more meditation. Silver or white strands in your hair actually helps to increase the vitamin and energy flow to compensate for aging.

Left uncut, your hair will grow to a particular length and then stop all by itself at the correct length for you. Many yogi’s consider a person who cuts their hair to be wasting their energies – over a lifetime, regular trims forces the body to grow 22 meters of replacement hair, whereas a person who keeps their hair will only produce approx 1.5 meters!

If you’re concerned about split ends, try applying a small amount of almond oil to your hair overnight so that it can be absorbed before you wash it the next morning.
It is also considered beneficial to wash your hair after being upset to help process emotions.
