Chitsu can be used for general wellbeing but also as a natural remedy for gastro issues or help improve immune balance. It is temperature stable between -15 to 65C and provides a rapid rebalancing of the gut flora and immune system to help the body return to homoeostasis. Chitsu is beneficial for adult patients with symptoms such as IBS, constipation/diarrhoea, autoimmune disease such as IBD, Crohn’s, stomach ulcers or any unknown GI disorders that are difficult to resolve.
About the soy culture
Organic soy was selected as the culture medium because of its complex carbohydrate, “oligosaccharide”.
Oligosaccharide’s long sugar chain up to 4 units connected, provides the nutrients for 16 strains of Lactobacillus to be co-cultured during a 12-month fermentation process.
Normally, Lactobacillus bacteria does not ferment well in soy. However, when 16 strains are reared simultaneously in soymilk, survival mechanisms are activated, forcing the bacteria to consume the soy culture and strengthening the species.
After a full year’s fermentation, the CFU count is 4 trillion/g. Bioactive ingredients are then extracted from the yoghurt and the fermented wastes are removed. That is why Chitsu appears transparent, as only the bioactive ingredients are extracted (Lactobacillus metabolites & glycopeptides) and the remnants are suitable as a drink mix. The fermented extracts are of an extremely high purity standard.
The soy culture has been fermented to such degree that Phyto-progesterone is almost eliminated. Food analyses conducted by the accredited Japan Food Research Laboratories show no soy allergen in the retail product.
Lactis as a cosmetic
Lactis has been marketed as a cosmetic in other markets. Lactobacillus metabolites is an alternate ingredient for skincare. The combination of a heathy colon (improved water retention), immune balance and Lactobacillus metabolites improves the skin texture from the inside out. Feedback received from consumers indicate that their skin texture has improved from taking Lactis within a period of 3 months. It’s possible to verify the results by measuring the skin moisture on the arm with a meter, before and after consuming Lactis for a month or two. The general improvement is between 5-30%.
