Shilajit is a mineral rich ‘exudate’ that is found in the Himalayas and other mountainous regions of Asia and Europe. It is traditionally used as a potent tonic for the reproductive system (both male and female), strengthening the entire system and enhancing sexual potency. It has a special affinity for the blood and is traditionally used in cases of anaemia, high sugar levels and high cholesterol. Further, it has been used for urinary system imbalances including cystitis, stones, incontinence and prostatitis. It may also help balance hyperglycaemia and regulate blood sugars.
Contraindications: Do not use with high uric acid levels, or when the diet consists of very rich or spicy foods
Safety: No drug-herb indications are known
