Description
Manjishta is used by Ayurvedic practitioners to ‘clean and cool’ the blood. It has a special affinity for the skin and is has been utilised extensively in beauty preparations both internally and externally for a radiant complexion. It has been shown to be helpful in treating skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, vitiligo, acne, rosacea, and boils. It is helpful for urinary tract infections, various menstrual imbalances including (irregular period, missing period, clotting and painful periods) and for managing herpes.
Contraindications: Signs of high Vata.
